UDP Renewables participated in the international study tour "Green Horizons: Exploring the Potential of H2 and Decarbonised Value Chains", organised by H2-diplo - Decarbonization Diplomacy with the support of the PROGRESS initiative (Promoting Green Deal Readiness in Eastern Partnership Countries), implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
As part of the programme, the company presented its flagship project, GreenWest PtX, dedicated to the production of renewable hydrogen and its derivatives, and took part in discussions on the future development of the hydrogen economy and decarbonised industrial value chains.
The tour included visits to leading hydrogen projects across Germany and meetings with key industry stakeholders. This provided valuable insights into the practical aspects of hydrogen infrastructure development, production, transportation, and industrial applications.
A distinctive feature of the initiative was the broad representation of participants from both Ukraine and Germany, including representatives of government institutions, research organisations, civil society, and the private sector. Such cross-sector dialogue contributes to building a shared vision for the future of the hydrogen industry and creates the foundation for effective coordination among all stakeholders.
The programme offered valuable practical insights and first-hand experience that will help shape the next stages of GreenWest PtX and support UDP Renewables' broader ambition to foster a competitive renewable hydrogen ecosystem in Ukraine.
